If you live, bike or walk in Skokie we are inviting you to join a network of people to advocate, inform, and promote bicycling and active transportation in Skokie.
The ultimate aim of this initiative is to organize a core group of leadership, community of supporters and a network of partners to promote a cycling friendly vision for Skokie. Possible initiatives, depending on energy and priorities, would include engaging with local residents, business and public entities to promote cycling infrastructure and policies and organize recreational and educational events and activities. In addition, we would connect with the regional network of cycling and active transportation partners to leverage everyone’s advocacy work.
But, first, we would like to know who you are, what you would like to see, and what you can contribute to this effort. If this is of interest to you, please plan to join us on a Zoom meeting Wednesday March 17th at 7:00pm for all interested parties to connect and strategize next steps.
