Looking for Shimano 105 shifters
Author Last Post
probably st-5600 shifters, the 10 speed where the shift cable exits the side of the shifter and runs in front of the handlebars. A quick scan of ebay shows they are available. You can also go with ultegra st-6600 which are one level up. 10 speed under the bar wrap (105 5700 and ultegra 6700) might work but Shimano modified the brake lever/cable pull ratios when they switched to under the bar tape routing so it might affect braking performance and require newer brake calipers.

The bike is a 10 speed

The mechanic at the bike shop at the McDonald Cycling center said the shifter was broken and would eventually need to be replaced. Got another year and 1/2 out of them since he told me. But now it is getting really bad.

how many speeds 105?
9-speed 105 5500 series
10 speed 105 cable goes out the side of the shifter external to the handlebars 5600 series
10 speed 105 under the bar wrap 5700 series

You can try bathing the nonperforming shifter with wd40 while working it. I mean use the whole can. Then get triflow in there. That can restore some shifters when the old grease has dried solid.

My shifters for one of my older bikes is toast. Wondering anyone has this part they want to sell or if anyone knows of any bike shops or websites that may stock older parts. Having trouble finding this part on the sites I usually order from.
