This week I plan to lead a slightly longer than usual ride from Chandler at 10 AM at a moderate 13-15 mph pace to Johnnie's Beef* in Elmwood Park. The ride will be 37 miles round-trip, but it is definitely worth it for the Italian Beef sandwiches and/or the Lemon Ice. Johnnie's Beef is CASH ONLY. We will stop at Norwood Park (mile 11) on the way out; lunch at mile 19; and stop at Shabbona Park (mile 22) on the way back. We’ll get back around 2:45pm – 3pm.
(*) Don’t eat beef? Massa Café Italiano is a few feet east of Johnnie's and delicioso too; and it takes credit cards.
