After discussions among ride leaders who will lead Friday fast rides from Centennial Wilmette to Bluffington's Cafe in Lake Bluff, we have decided to have these rides begin at 8:45 am as has been the case for many weeks. This will allow all riders to reach the cafe before the 11:00 am cut off for the breakfast menu. The fast riders will divide into two groups, one riding at the posted speed of 15-17 mph and the second group traveling at a slightly slower pace. The faster group will leave Centennial a few minutes before the slower group and will thus arrive at the intersection of Kenilworth Avenue and Sheridan Road ahead of the slower group. Riders joining us at that intersection can thus choose which group to ride with.
These arrangements will continue each Friday through December 13, 2024, after which there will be no more rides scheduled for Friday Fast riders.
