Tuesday Moderate Ride – April 1st – 9:00 AM – Panera
Tuesday’s weather is expected to be a tad better than a stick in the eye – a slight chance of sun in the morning giving way to all clouds in the afternoon. The temperature will be about 36 degrees when the ride starts climbing to 41 by the rides end, with the wind out of the ENE at 10 to 15 mph.
There aren’t any destinations that would permit us to take full advantage of an ENE wind on our return trip, but a trip to Egg Harbor in Lake Forest will provide comfort food and something a bit like a tail wind on our return trip.
Here is a link to the route I will be using: LkFrstEggHarbr3 · Ride with GPS. Our total distance will be about 35 miles. I will ride at a moderate (13 – 15 mph) pace. With enough interest we might be able to prevail upon Will to lead a second slightly faster group.
Note that I have returned to the traditional Tuesday morning starting time of 9:00 AM. If the actual weather Tuesday morning should be vastly different from the forecast making it prudent to cancel the ride, I will post a notice to the listserv by 7:15 AM.
