Tuesday Moderate Ride – July 8th – 9:00 AM – Panera
This week we’ll be riding to Mitsuwa, a popular Japanese food court in Arlington Heights. Lots of food choices from sushi to tempura, with lots of rice, noodle, and soup dishes. Save room for a trip to the bakery. Pastries filled with red bean paste are my favorites. On my last visit I saw a potato donut filled with potato salad. (I did not try it.) And maybe leave a little time for a peak in the bookstore – books in Japanese and English, lots of Manga in both languages, and for some reason an uncommonly large number of cat books.
Here is a link to the route I will be using: ArlHts-Mitsuwa 2018 · Ride with GPS. Our total distance will be 38 miles. I’ll ride at a moderate (13 – 15 mph) pace. With enough interest Len will lead a second group at a slightly faster pace.
The weather looks reasonably good for Tuesday. While cloudy or partly cloudy, there is only a 15% chance of rain. The wind will be from the SSE at 5 to 10 mph. It looks like the temperature will be between 75 and 81 degrees while we are on the road. If the actual weather observed on Tuesday morning is vastly different making it prudent to cancel the ride, I will post an announcement to the listserv by 7:00 AM.
