Tuesday Moderate Ride – August 12th – 9:00 AM – Panera
This week's route uses some less familiar streets in the Deerfield area to get to a familiar location – Lambs Farm. We'll lunch in the popular restaurant at this famed institution for the developmentally disabled. Here is a link to the route we will use: Lambs Farm 2019 · Ride with GPS. I made some changes to the route on Sunday evening, so if you have already saved it to a device, you will probably have to save the updated version. Our total distance will be nearly 47 miles. I will ride at a moderate (13 – 15 mph) pace. With enough interest there will be a slightly faster group led by Will. Service can be a bit slow at Lambs Farm, so plan your afternoon accordingly.
The forecast for Tuesday is a bit problematic. Rain is predicted for the early morning, before the ride starts, cloudy skies are expected during our ride to Lambs Farm and then showers and thunderstorms are expected on our way back to Wilmette. The chance of precipitation is 50%. Given the amount of rain that has disappeared from the forecasts in the past three weeks, I am reasonably confident planning to ride, but check your email or the listserv on Tuesday morning. If it seems prudent to cancel the ride, I will post an announcement to the listserv by 7:30 AM on Tuesday morning
