I am considering getting a new bike this season. Many EBC fast riders are on Seven Cycles titanium frames. Where did you buy these bikes. Do you like the titanium bikes vs carbon fiber?

Velosmith in Wilmette

My Seven 622 S with carbon wheels weighs just 18 lbs. My Specialized Tarmac Comp with Mavic carbon wheels weighs 17.3 lbs. They seem the same re speed. Titanium gives a smooth ride. 32 mm tubeless tires add to smoothness and don’t go flat. If you are middle aged or older, go for titanium.

I also bought my Seven titanium bicycle from Velosmith and concur with Robin and Tim. Tony has extensive experience with Seven cycles, and if you choose to work with him, he'll take as much time as is needed to guide you through the process. Feel free to get in touch with me directly if you want to know more.
Besides Seven, consider Mosaic and Moots.

Besides Velosmith, consider Peregrine, might be closer to you if you’re still living in Chicago. They are a Moots dealer, and I think Seven too.

I also purchased my bike from Velosmith in Wilmette. Really noticed huge difference in a custom frame and how it softens the vibrations on rough and crushed gravel roads.

I bought my Seven bike in 2023 from Velosmith in Wilmette.  Tony guided me through the process of selecting the frame and components.  I rode a carbon fiber bike for many years previous to getting the Seven.  The Seven was a total game changer in all the right ways.  I love the weight and feel of the titanium, it has much less road vibration and the frame is nearly indestructible.  To be fair, some of the difference in the ride is due to a completely different set up on the wheels and tires.  Best of all, the custom fit of my Seven allows me to ride comfortably for much greater distances.
