Tuesday Moderate Ride – March 10th – 9:30 AM -- Panera
Let’s continue easing into daylight savings time with a 9:30 AM start on Tuesday for a ride to Max’s Deli. Here is a link to the route I will more or less use: Short loop to Max's Deli · Ride with GPS. Our rest stop will be at the Highland Park Train Station, rather than the seasonally closed Moraine Park. Our total distance will be around 32 miles. I will ride at a moderate (13 – 15 mph) pace. In the interest of full disclosure, I am recently recovered from a cold and have been off my bike for a while, so I may be riding at the lower end of the moderate pace.
The weather forecast is complex. It will be overcast with a stray shower or thunderstorm possible. The high temperature will be around 52 degrees, and the wind will be out of north at 10 to 15 mph. It looks as if the rain should hold off until after our ride is finished. I will check the weather early Tuesday morning, and if it seems prudent to cancel the ride, I will post an announcement to the listserv by 7:30 AM.
