Tuesday Moderate Ride – February 27th – 9:00 AM – Panera
It is my understanding that it is now Lent on the Christian calendar, which means that Culver’s is now serving the Northwood Walleye Sandwich. I intend to lead a ride to the Culver’s in Buffalo Grove in order to get my annual fix. All of the other usual menu items are also available. This includes an acceptable veggie burger, which is not always easy to find on the menu board, but you’ll get it if you ask for it.

Tuesday’s weather forecast is for a high temperature of 65 degrees with mostly cloudy skies in the morning and scattered showers and thunderstorms developing in the afternoon. There is potential for severe storms, but as things now stand the rain should be after our ride has finished. I will monitor the weather closely and will cancel the ride by 8:00 AM on Tuesday if it seems prudent to do so. I may also change our destination to the Culver’s in Morton Grove if that appears to be the best bet for avoiding bad weather.
Please note that I will be starting at my more traditional starting time of 9:00 AM. It should already be 56 degrees by then, and the early start increases our chances of beating the bad weather.
