The weather looks to be kind to us with temps 45-55, partly sunny, and gentile south wind.

In 1893, the World’s Columbian Exposition took place in Chicago, and the Newberry building opened to the public.

On this guided tour, we'll learn about the history behind the founding of the Newberry and also learn of ways to engage with the library.

DIstance around 20 miles RT. The docent lead guided tour runs from 10:30 - 11;30 am.

Food stop will be either at the cafe in the Chicago History Museum, or Misericordia Cafe
